Bayern Munich is interested in recruiting Kaoru Mitoma for the Japanese national soccer team.

Florian Flettenberg, who was fluent in the Munich news, said on Saturday (Korea time) that Max Eberle and Christoph Freund had a meeting with Mitoma's agent. Mitoma has signaled that he is open to a transfer.

Mitoma is a Japanese national football winger. He started his professional career with Kawasaki Frontale in the 2020 season and played for two seasons, emerging as the best side resource in the J-League. He moved to Brighton and Hove Albion ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Mitoma did not immediately play for Brighton. Due to visa-related issues, he left on loan to royal winion Saint-Jillouaz. He returned to Brighton after scoring eight goals and four assists in 29 games.

Mitoma started to play in earnest from the 2022-23 season. He has been reborn as a main resource by scoring 10 goals and seven assists in 41 games. However, due to injury, he only had three goals and six assists in 26 games last season. He has scored 11 goals and three assists in 40 games this season.

Saudi Arabia's Al Nasr sought to recruit Mitoma in the transfer market last winter, but Brighton refused. British 'BBC' reported, "Al Nasr has stopped trying to recruit Mitoma. In additional communication between the two clubs, Brighton stressed that Mitoma does not need to be sold and will not change its position no matter what the offer is."

Still, rumors of a transfer continue. "Liverpool is considering recruiting Brighton winger Mitoma," said Kurt Offside of the U.K., adding that Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are closely watching Mitoma.

According to reporter Flettenberg, Munich is actively recruiting Mitoma. Munich's leadership has already met Mitoma's agent in person. Mitoma is known to have expressed its intention to be open to a transfer. 스포츠토토

Flettenberg explained, "München was informed that the deal was possible for a transfer fee of about 50 million euros (about 77.7 billion won). Brighton want to keep Mitoma, but Munich are currently considering him as a replacement for Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane."

"There is no official proposal or agreement yet," he said, adding, "München is also in contact with Rafael Leão."
